Make Your Mark on Canada’s History with the “Canada 150 Mosaic”.

On Culture Days - September 29, 30 and October 1st - residents, neighbours, friends and community organizations in Port Moody are invited to express their patriotism as part of the continued celebration of Canada’s 150 Sesquicentennial by creating a large-scale Mosaic.

Conceived in collaboration with the City of Port Moody, and the Mural Mosaic team, this community project creates a unique opportunity for Port Moody residents to make your mark on Canada’s history through the painting of art tiles.

You, your neighbours, friends and associates are invited to paint mosaic tiles at the Port Moody Station Museum (2734 Murray St, Port Moody). Participants of all ages and skills will have the opportunity to paint their own 4” by 4” aluminum primer-coated panel. Port Moody’s mural will be comprised of over 725 tiles. Tile painting will take place on:
-              September 29:                  3:00pm - 7:00pm
-              September 30:                  10:00am - 6:00pm
-              October 1:                           10:00am - 4:00pm

Each tile will fit into its place in the unique overall mural concept specially designed for Port Moody’s portion of the commemorative national mosaic. Upon assembly, these smaller works of art are joined together into one large unified mosaic.
