Canine Companions for Independence

Lacey Wicks is the volunteer coordinator for Canine Companions for Independence south central region. Lacey has been with Canine Companions since 2015 and was part of the forming of the new region and opening of the Kinkeade Campus in Irving. Lacey has over 20 years of volunteer management experience with non-profit organizations.  

Canine Companions for Independence is a national nonprofit organization that provides highly trained assistance dogs to children, adults and veterans with disabilities. Headquartered in Santa Rosa, CA, Canine Companions is the largest non-profit provider of assistance dogs, and is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its dogs, and the quality and longevity of the matches it makes between dogs and people. The result is a life full of increased independence and loving companionship.
