Cathy Boyles, Wildlife Administrator, DFW Airport

Cathy, an FAA Qualified Airport Wildlife Biologist, has held the position of Wildlife Administrator at DFW Airport since 2006. Her duties include ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department rules and regulations as they pertain to wildlife hazard mitigation at DFW Airport; training Airfield Operations personnel in identifying, reporting and mitigating wildlife and wildlife attractants while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations; developing the airport’s Wildlife Stewardship (Awareness) Campaign; and promoting wildlife Strike awareness to minimize hazards to aircraft safety. She has B.S. degrees in Biology and Wildlife Management from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point, and a M.S. degree in Biology from The University of Texas at Arlington. She worked for 9 years at UT Arlington in science program development before landing her current position.
