Cherise Charleswell

CHERISE CHARLESWELL is Development & Outreach Manager of “Journey Out,” a Los Angeles-based nonprofit leading the fight for all whose lives have been destroyed by sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. Cherise was one of our presenters and guest facilitators at our February 28th meeting and we are delighted she has agreed to return.

Cherise is also Immediate Past President of the Southern California Public Health Association, on the Publications Board of the American Public Health Association, and co-host and producer of Feminist Magazine on KPFK 90.7 FM.

A former Governing Board Member of the Society for Advancement of African American Public Health Issues, Cherise champions the need for solid data to justify program funding and drive program development and policy. She has undergraduate degrees in the Biological Sciences and Anthropology, and her Masters in Public Health.
