Marie Tran, Immediate Past President

Marie Tran held the position of  President of the Rotary Club of Pacific Palisades for 2022-2023. 

 A long-time Pacific Palisades resident and businesswoman, she has been an active Rotary  member since 2014 and served as Board member for the past three years. Most recently, she has facilitated the Club’s weekly virtual meetings as Zoom Master.   She has received the 2014-2015 Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding & Dedicated Service,  the 2020 District 5280 DoGoodery Award for Most Active New Member, and the 2020-2021 Rotarian of the Year Award. 

As owner of Marie’s Mac & PC Outcall, Marie provides 24/7 computer and smartphone support to the Pacific Palisades community and adjoining neighborhoods, both in-person and online. Besides functioning as an expert computer consultant, Marie is committed to community service.  As  FCC ham radio licensee KM6FEE, Marie is a member of  Pali-Net  (Pacific Palisades  Amateur Radio Club) which meets weekly on the air to practice emergency communications.

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Hagop Tchakerian, President Elect
and Community Service Director
Hagop Tchakerian held the position of Club President in 2021-2022.  He is an electronic engineer who works for Bendix Electrodynamics in Sylmar.  He worked for West Adams Radiator and then JMM operational services.  Before retiring, he worked for the City of Los Angeles Sanitation department and LAX.

Perry Akins, Vocational & Youth Service Director
I have worked in the field of international education my entire professional life.  Presently, I am chairman of a company I co-founded in 2005, which writes and distributes internet-based English language assessment exams worldwide.  I joined Rotary in 1979 and was past president twice over.  Rotary has provided me the opportunity for fellowship with wonderful people and an opportunity to become involved in local and international service projects.
 
 
 
Dick Meyer , International Service Director
Dick Meyer has been an active member of the Palisades Rotary Club since 1976; he served as president twice, and presently as director of the International Committee. He is a semi-retired minister and served four Lutheran congregations in Southern California and other church ministries over the past 67 years. Trish Bowe, Parliamentarian
Trish Bowe, CLU, is stepping into her sixth year of Rotary membership, held the position of Rotary Club President in 2020-2021. Trish has been a State Farm Insurance Agent for 40+ years, with an office at 860 Via de la Paz, Suite D1. She has a securities license, as well, and has received her Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) to add to her expansive skills. She is constantly challenging herself and continue to do so as the former Rotary President. Trish has a passion for helping people and found that the combination of service and social connection Rotary offers was a perfect fit for her.

Pete Crosby, Membership Director
Pete Crosby is a retired industrial supply chain management consultant.  He has worked with more than 150 clients on more than 300 engagements.  Pete was born in Santa Barbara, grew up in Ventura, and  graduated from California at Berkeley in engineering. He completed graduate degree programs in operations research, management science, and industrial engineering.  He has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 13 years and Pacific Palisades for 45 years.  He has been married to Janet Davis for ten years and was married to his first wife Stevie Ellis for 38 years, and has two children, Kelly, his daughter who is a pharmacist, and his son Michael, a corporate recruiter.  He has two grandchildren, three stepchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
