Investment Opportunities related to New Technologies
Jul. 06, 2021
Yuko Saito-Rodriguez is a Past-President of the South Bay Sunrise Rotary Club. She is a Land Investment Advisor and Sales Director of Velur Enterprises in Van Nuys, and spoke of the investment opportunities related to new technologies.
Major fossil fuels companies are now diversifying and moving into alternative renewable energy. The former Saudi Oil Minister is investing in alternative energy: “The Stone Age came to an end not for lack of stones, and the Oil Age will come to an end not for lack of oil.” Saudi Arabia is planning a major investment in alternative energy and is planning for a world beyond oil. The fastest growing jobs in the United States today are Solar Panel Technician and Wind Turbine Technician.
This is a natural evolution. The US is a technology leader and has great economic opportunities. Southern California is the 5th largest economy in the world and the biggest economic powerhouse in the United States, with technology companies & international trade. The Inland Empire area has a large area of land that is being bought or leased to use for energy production, especially solar farms. All-electric cars are increasing market-share. The Clean Power Alliance (CPA, https://cleanpoweralliance.org/) offers customers in some communities of Los Angeles & Ventura Counties the option of buying some of their electric energy and capacity from renewable-source generators and suppliers. CPA is buying a 400 Megawatt-Hour lithium battery storage facility in Lancaster, which will help enable the closure of some gas-fired power plants.
Yuko showed past & present maps of land in Southern California illustrating the increase in area of solar projects there. Well-researched Land in Southern California now offers average individuals the opportunity to amass investment wealth by buying land for lease. For information, her email address is yukosland@gmail.com. (“Buy land; they’re not making it anymore.” -- Mark Twain & Will Rogers.)

FotoFlow Solutions
Sep. 21, 2021
About Peter Bennett Born and raised in New York City, Peter picked up his first camera at the age of twelve. Influenced by his grandfather, who owned a photo studio on the boardwalk in Brooklyn, and his father a cinematographer and film editor, Peter pursued a career as a magazine and travel photographer before opening up his own photo agency in 1998. It was there that he learned how to manage and maintain a large library of digital images. But while his professional image files were in perfect order, Peter realized his own personal and family photos were a complete mess, and if it was happening to him, it was probably happening to others as well. So in 2016 Peter decided to start Fotoflow Solutions, to take his years of experience and knowledge of photo organizing to people who really needed it. He wanted to help people organize their personal and family photos, and help them preserve their family archives and visual history. Peter has been an instructor at the Los Angeles Center of Photography for over twelve years, and this more than anything has taught him the importance of communicating complicated things in a simple and easy to understand way. Peter is a Certified Photo Organizer with The Photo ManagersTM |

The Roller Derby League and having skated on the Top 10 ranked Hollywood
Nov. 09, 2021
Rachel Johnston I represent Los Angeles worldwide on behalf of Angel City Derby, California's best flat track roller derby league. Since 2010, I have skated on the top-10 ranked Hollywood Scarlets at WFTDA Playoffs and WFTDA Championships. I have shared the track with the best athletes in our sport and have been featured on espnW. I have coached and played all over the world -- from Japan to Sweden, Spain to Australia -- I've poured my whole heart into growing this sport, coaching athletes aged 6 to 60. I have also carried my love of roller skating into the entertainment world in Los Angeles -- In my 11 years playing, I have worked on film, TV shows, commercials, and episode shorts that integrate roller derby. Most recently I consulted and coordinated all the skating for Birds of Prey - including training actress Margot Robbie. Before that I spent a season working on the Fosters, a youth family drama. When I'm not skating, I'm a versatile communications pro with 15 years of experience in marketing, PR, and music/film/tv. I am currently vice president of Rebellious PR & Consulting where I focus my PR skills on marginalized and underrepresented founders and their companies that are looking to change the world. I oversee the health and wellness clients at my agency, with a particular focus on nonprofits and social issues that affect women.
