
Last Meeting of 2021!!

President Jordan Holbert called the meeting to order. Sue Vogl gave the moving Thought for the Day, a quote from Katie-Jay Scott… Listen to those in need.
President Jordan reviewed the weekend’s events. The Sandpipers’ events, loading and unloading of the truck on Friday, and the families-in-need event at the YMCA on Saturday. We represented well. Thank you volunteers!! Tim Hageman, Dave Gendron, Annie Hendrickson, Harrison Clay, Lee Walker and Jim McFarland loaded up, and Lincoln Stone, Matt Peck, Duke Winser, and Jim McFarland unloaded and helped set up. On Saturday, Wayne Nelson, Jim Schlager, John Hugunin, Larry Johnson and Erin Miller helped distribute the baskets to the families.
Birthdays, Anniversaries and Mystery Santa
December birthdays and anniversaries were celebrated in song. Congratulations to all!!

Holiday Singalong
Holiday singing extravaganza was led off by Joel Ruben with a couple of Hanukkah songs. Weezie Steinmetz accompanied us on the piano for Deck the Halls.
Larry Johnson gave us some history on the origin of Jingle Bells . . . originally written about Thanksgiving!!
A little Jingle Bell Rock, White Christmas, Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer, Here Comes Santa Claus and the Twelve Days of Christmas.

We closed the meeting with an acknowledgement of our wonderful servers, Andy, Gloria (33 years), and Remedios (34 years)!! Thank you!!!!

For the raffle, Dick Chase won a bottle of Daou wine, and Don Jung came up with teh black marble to win the $675 . . . Merry Christmas to you!!!! Congratulations Don!!
