In accepting the $15,000 check from Rotary Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Kasey Earnest said that $7,000 would go to the nonprofit Young Actors Project in support of the arts, after-school programs, and chldren affected by the Woolsey Fire who were not able to pay for the program. Some of the money will also go to the non-profit LA County Disaster Communications Service ((DCS), which lost equment in the Woolsey fire.

The reason the presentation of the Rotary check was done at the Malibu Playhouse is because that is where children involved with the Young Actors Project were rehearsing for their production of “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.”
