Jeffrey Lipsius applied his 35-years of experience in the selling profession to develop an new sales approach called "Selling To The Point". His award winning book, "Selling To The Point", teaches how salespeople can be coaches to improve their customers' decision process. He trains salespeople, presents keynotes, and conducts workshops about his new method for decision coaching.

All Presidents Demotion Party Dinner and Jazz Concert (no morning meeting)

June 28 2017 Demotion Party Dinner at Tra di Noi 5:30 p.m. -7:15 p.m., followed by Jazz Concert 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Malibu Civic Theater. John Elman invites Rotarians and their families and friends to attend a special performance of the Malibu Jazz Ensemble from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Malibu Civic Theater 23825 Stuart Ranch Road , (where the Malibu City Council meets). It is a free concert for “Family and Friends” and will be conducted by Dr J B Dyas, VP of the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz at UCLA, feature local jazz musicians and singers, including Rotarian John on drums. Those attending dinner should RSVP club treasurer. No reservations needed for concert. |

Following the Malibu Rotary Club Demotion Party Dinner at Tra di Noi Restaurant in Malibu Country Mart from 5:30 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. there will be a jazz concert starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Malibu Civic Theater, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road in Malibu, performed by the Malibu Community Jazz Ensemble led by Dr. J B Dyas, Vice President of jazz curriculum at Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz at UCLA. Reservations are necessary for the Malibu Rotary Club Demotion Dinner and space is limited, but the jazz concert is free, parking is free and there is open seating in the theater. No reservations are necessary to attend this concert which will feature local jazz vocal and instrumentalists, including demoted Malibu Rotary Club President John Elman who will be playing drums.

Malibu Rotarian volunteers will be selling water, watermellon, watermellon juice, and special non-dairy Fruit Ice Cream at a booth at the carnival as a fund raising event. The booth will be open from Friday evening September 1 until Sunday evening September 3. |

He will be Talking about “Mediators Beyond Borders”--Mediators Beyond Borders (medatorsbeyondborders.org) is an international organization that does mediations around the worldScott works with Mediators Beyond Borders (medatorsbeyondborders.org) an international organization that does mediations around the world. Mediators Beyond Borders – Los Angeles (MBB-LA) was created in 2007 to bring the core vision and mission of MBBI to Southern California, where members living in this region could meet regularly to develop their skills and to offer services to local communities, as well as to collaborate with local partners. Its focus is both local and international, with members working on a variety of mediation and facilitation projects. MBB-LA was the founding group of Mediators Beyond Borders. MBB-LA was started by internationally renowned mediator and peacemaker Kenneth Cloke with the goal of bringing mediation and alternative dispute resolution to the world’s conflict zones. |
