This Past Tuesday, June 28, 2022
 
Last week was the annual tradition of having a picnic in the park to celebrate the last meeting of the year. Rotarians were smiling and enjoying good company with great weather. 
 
 
Dale even rode his bike to the park!
 
As many of you may already know, Lorine asks our guests to sign a children's book to be donated to the Downey library after each meeting. On our last meeting of the year, now past president Jesse finally got to sign the book.
 
 
Next Tuesday, July 5, 2022
 
PTA Helps will be joining us as our guest speaker. Lunch begins at noon. See you there!

PICNIC IN THE PARK

 

President Jesse Vargas was asked, as his last official act in office, to sign the book for the Children’s Room for the Downey City Library. Thanks, Jesse.

It has been a good year.

 

Update: Three little guys we care about, the twin sons, and their brother, of Alex and Jenette Lopez- will soon be vaccinated. Maybe then Alex and proud Abuelo Raul might bring them to meetings.

 

Raul brought Alex when he was a small precocious boy and stood him in a chair to wave to us. Little did we know what was coming!

Let’s hope the twins and Theodore can follow in those footprints.

We’d like to see Jenette too. As a mother of the boys and a public health nurse, she must have been busy lately.

 

The picture below is from 5 years ago. Some of the faces are no longer with us - Harold, Shirley, Angelo. Our newest picture will show lots of new members.
