We will partcipate in the Friends of the LA River (FOLAR's) month-long endeavor to care for the River and keep the watershed clean! While we can't gather in person, FOLAR has teamed up with Litterati to make it easy for us to conduct our own Self-Guided CleanUp and for us to tally our haul to measure our collective impact. Compton Creek is a tributary to the Los Angeles River with herons, egrets and butterflies. We will be cleaning up Lower Compton Creak, starting at the Del Amo Station takes place along the Metro Blue Line Station, located on Del Amo Blvd at Santa Fe Avenue in Rancho Dominguez. Please come equipped with a trash bag, sunscreen, water and a trash grabber (if desired). Also, Remember to wear masks and practice social distancing during the CleanUp, and most importantly, have fun! |
