Today, District Governor Alex Parajon visited our Bellflower Rotary Club.  He gave a great presentation and awarded three Rotarians.  Congratulations to Jon Matson and Doug Easer for receiving the Superhero Rising Star Award.  Congratulation to Connie Hui for receiving the Superhero Heart of Service Award.  Thank You Governor Alex for the wonderful awards. President Lauren representing Supervisor Hahn office presented the scroll to Governor Alex.  Mayor Pro Tem Sony Santa Ines also presented a Scroll to Governor Alex.  

We also celebrate Howard Davis 99th birthday.  His is one of our longest Rotarians, 68 years of membership.  It's a great honor to have Howard in our club.  Best Wishes For his Birthday!  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On September 22, 2025, Bellflower Rotary Club gave out $50 gift cards to 100 families for kids to buy school supplies. Parents drove by to pick up the gift cards.  

 

Rotary Club of Bellflower went to Mayfair High School and tested the students eye vision.  We tested 2289 students from 9/15-9/18.

 

Immediate Past District Governor Albert visited our club on September 11 and presented the Rotary International Club of Excellence Award for 2024-2025. We also celebrated Linda and Rene birthday.

 

On Sunday, June 1, we gave out $500 to 42 families that lost their homes in the Altadena wildfire.

 

 

 

Rotary meeting on Thursday, May 8, Karla from Senator Bob Archuleta office awarded us with a proclamation for our club 100 years celebration.  Satellite Club of Glendale Noon and Bellflower Rotary Club are very happy three families from the Altadena wildfire were able to join us. District 5280 Chief of Staff Glenn Gomez welcome two of our newest members into the Paul Harris Family.  

 

The Rotary Club of Bellflower awarded 3 vocational scholarship to three students in Cerritos College.

On Saturday March 22, The Bellflower Rotary Club took 50 kids to shoe shopping at Skechers for new shoes.

Today, February 26, Rotary International President Elect Mario Cesar Martins De Camargo visited our Bellflower Rotary Club.  It was a great honor to have the RI President Elect Mario, Governor Albert, PDG Makiko, PDG David Moyers, Bellflower Councilmen and Princess Allie Morse to visit us in celebrating our Club of Excellent Award.  He gave us the opportunity to unite with district 5320 Rotarians in this special luncheon.  We all joined together in unity, love, fellowship and empowerment in doing good for the world.  The unity of the Rotary Club of  Altedena, Bellflower, Burbank Sunrise, Burbank Noon, Carson Gardena Dominguez, Downey, El Segundo,  Glendale Noon, Historic Filipinotown, Koreatown, Lakewood, Long beach, Palos Verde Sunset, Paramount, San Pedro, Thai Town, and Westchester all joined together to unite for good.   

 

President Elect Lauren Yokomizo and I attended the Southwest President Elect Training last weekend.  We both enjoyed the hospitality night and enjoyed the fellowship in our district 5280. 

 

We gave out 109 glasses on Tuesday, February 18, to the students at Bellflower High School.  We will return on March 4 for other glasses dispensing.

 

We distributed 45 glasses today at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. 

 

The City of Bellflower celebrated the outgoing mayor's ceremony today.  Thank you to Mayor Dan Koops for the wonderful service and love he gave to the community.  Congratulations to his great accomplishments. 

 

The Bellflower Rotary Club received the EREY Award and the Foundation Polio Award on Saturday at the district breakfast. 

 

Bellflower Rotary Club joined Vision To Learn in distributing glasses today.  We gave out 45 pairs of glasses.
