Lights, Camera, LA5: Experience the Hollywood Life!"🎭
One thing Rotarians know how to do is to have fun. And this Saturday, March 9 will be a party you won't want to miss! Kathleen Kavanagh has graciously opened her home just below the Hollywood sign for this Pre Oscar Party. The theme of the party is to come in character as an Oscar worthy person (past or present) or make up your own character. This is optional, of course, but there will be prizes for our "Oscar Contenders."
Bring your friends and register today so we can plan accordingly.
The address will be emailed out at the end of the week.
All members are invited to share their suggestions for LA5’s 2023 – 2024 Distinguished Citizen Awards presentation. Many of you will recall that during President Malinda’s year of service we reinstituted this traditional recognition program by recognizing Wayne Ratkovich, a leading real estate developer who saved some of L.A.’s best-known architectural gems.
Others recognized in earlier years include Sheriff Sheman Block, Caroline Leonetti-Ahmanson, Ed Carson (Chairman, President and CEO of First Interstate Bank), LA Police Chief Daryl Gates, and Attorney John Argue (who played a pivotal role in bringing the 1984 Olympic Games to Los Angeles) to name a few.
Please share your suggestions with Past President Mike Birkholm or Bruce Murdoch.
