Jeff Carr is the CEO of JVS SoCal (Jewish Vocational Service of Southern California), where he leads with a powerful belief: that access to meaningful work can change the trajectory of a life. Under his leadership, JVS SoCal is expanding pathways to opportunity for individuals and families across Los Angeles and surrounding communities—especially those too often left behind.
Jeff has dedicated his career to lifting up marginalized communities. He founded the Bresee Foundation Youth Program, helped lead the 2015 Special Olympics World Games, and previously served as CEO of Albertina Kerr Centers in Oregon. Since joining JVS SoCal in 2023, he has focused on preparing workers not just for today’s jobs, but for the future of work itself.

Chief of Police Jim McDonnell brings over 40 years of dedicated service to law enforcement. He began his career with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in 1981, steadily rising through the ranks to become First Assistant Chief. A nationally recognized leader in Community Policing, Chief McDonnell was instrumental in transforming the LAPD by prioritizing de-escalation techniques and strengthening community relationships, helping to position the Department as a model for modern policing nationwide.
