Rotary Club of Marana Dove Mountain

 

The Rotary Club of Dove Mountain has been active since April, 2006 and although our club is relatively small, we strive to be “mighty” and make a difference at the community level and beyond! We are a group of busy people trying to put our time, talents, and treasure together to make the world a little better tomorrow than it is today, and have a great time doing it!

 

Within our community, our club has served dinners to homeless veterans in partnership with Tucson Veterans Helping Veterans, have participated in Habitat for Humanity home construction workdays, built outdoor benches for the Marana Food Bank, packaged boxes of common household items for delivery to local home-bound seniors, and have started building a relationship with the Bee Hive Senior Living Facility in Marana.

 

In our focus on Youth and Vocational Service, we have awarded numerous Academic and Career & Technical scholarships for Mountain View HS and Marana HS, have sponsored TRVFA scholarships for working adults seeking to build a better career for themselves and their families, have sponsored the Mountain View HS Interact Club to develop student leaders, and have supported the Save Our Students fundraising program for homeless students in Marana.

 

At the International project level, we have co-sponsored an Audiology project in Mexico with the Mesa Rotary Club, have supported an aid station for the Ride to End Polio bicycle race with the Marana Rotary Club, and have contributed to the Rotary Shelter box project helping families caught in International disasters with immediate temporary living.
