News from Outbound Youth Exchange Student Elijah Kahula

Hey everyone! I'm about half-way through my exchange by now, and it's going really well. I just returned from a Rotary Weekend in Dortmund, an international city with about 1/2 a million people. It's thirty minutes away by train, so many people in my city go there to shop because of the giant mall there. It also has the largest and most visited soccer stadium in Germany, which we took a tour of!

 

Besides that, it's just the grind of school, doing stuff on the weekends w/friends, and improving my language. The weather here is cold-ish and really sunny. I've been trying to improve my memory preservation habits, so I've restarted a daily journaling routine that I abandoned nearly immediately after arriving here.

 

It's sad to think I'm already at the halfway mark, but I'm trying to make every day count.
