Juneau Rotary Recognizes Morning Club's 20th Year
A group of Rotarians from our club paid a surprise visit last week to the Thursday morning club at the Prospector to kick off the celebration of their 20th anniversary as a club.
Juneau-Gastineau Rotary was chartered on May 12, 1988 by then Presi- dent, John Sandor. According to President Steve, speaker Peggy Cowan was in on the surprise and handed themicrophone over to President Steve after she wasintroduced. Steve presented a plaque (see below), and our members raised approximately $340 in happy bucks for the club. Juneau-Gastineau Rotary is planning a series of events this month to commemorate their 20th anniversary, but our surprise visit was the first! Good job, folks.
