Here are some of the highlights from our July 18, 2018 Anchorage East Rotary meeting:
- During Sandra Wicke’s presentation to our club, she called on other members to share thoughts with the club about their service work, including Carolyn Jones, Berry Kirksey and Jay Jackson.
- Matt Thon introduced Sandra and gave a happy $20, mentioning he has become engaged.
- Adam Sikorski mentioned that August 11 is the Soldotna Beer Fest, an event held by Rotary, and the inspiration for our club’s beer fest. He invited folks to come down.
- Gideon Garcia reported he had so many fish stories from his recent trip that he didn’t know where to begin.
- Laurie Hoefer was inducted as a new member to our club.
