Our 7th (?) Annual Rotary English Immersion Camp was held this past Saturday at Alaska Literacy Program. By all accounts, it was a great success!

We had approximately 37 adults from 15 different countries join our 15+ Rotary volunteers for 6 hours of making new friends, learning new words, singing songs, laughing together and overall having a great time learning.  A true afternoon of "service above self" for the Rotary volunteers using our unique talents in a project that was truly  a 'combo' of community, vocational and international service all rolled into one day.  THANK you to all who came to be part of the AER team in putting this event on.  Everything worked so well.

Students came from 15 countries:
Mexico, S. Sudan, S. Korea, Lebanon, Peru, Columbia, Laos, Panama, Domincan Republic, Pakistan, Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela,Ethiopia,Taiwan

A truly warm gathering of human beings from all over the world...singing together, making new friends and learning English.
