Youth Leadership Group
The group’s mission statement follows:
Empowering change in our community with awareness and education to end sexual violence.
Lana Ramsey will present the program next week to explain the YLG's efforts and goals. "This small group of dedicated youth has done amazing work this semester to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors for sexual violence" said Ms. Ramsey.
She is the Primary Prevention Coordinator, for the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center. She works with teenagers to promote healthy relationships and build community awareness of the risk factors for sexual violence. She works with a select group of five 15 year old sophomores at Marble Falls High School called the Youth Leadership Group, some of whom are shown in the photo.
Daybreak is pleased to host this important program.
