Walk-A-Dog-A-Thon really? Yep, really ...

The first annual Marble Falls Walk-A-Dog-A-Thon will be held March 2. An exciting, new event. The speaker today was Barb Robertson from the local SPCA no-kill shelter who spoke about the work of their shelter and the need for support of a no-kill facility. She shared personal stories of her seven years of volunteering there including the walking of two Great Pynenees described by some as small horses. 

Shannon Heep, shown on the left of the photo introduced Barb and gave details on the event which is a family event beginning in Johnson Park and featuring a 2-1/2 mile walk with our friends,family, and your canine companion.  According to Shannon there will be vendors, doggie contests and more. Of possible special note is a shortcut stop at the R Bar where you can enjoy a beverage of your choice and wait for the crowd to catch up.
