Texas Foster Care in Crisis

Judge Jack in Corpus Christi has ruled that the Child Protective System (CPS) in Texas is violating the rights of children in their care. Most particularly, group homes can no longer be used unless that have a 24 hour-awake attendant on premises. That effectively eliminates the typical couple-based group home, according to CASA director Kristen Harris who addressed Daybreakers today.

 

This makes our Foster Awareness/Adoption Day project even more important.
