Rotarian, Gil Jones, schools the Marble Falls Daybreak Rotary on the many uses of drones.

Drones, properly known as Unmanned Aerial Systems or UAVs, are used in commercial and agricultural fields for mapping  and surveying tracts of land. Additionally, drones have application in search and rescue efforts by using thermal imaging and by performing grid searches. Finally, drones can be used to assist law enforcement officers on apprehending suspects and can aid in crowd control by offering an aerial view of the masses. Drones are the key to saving the planet!.... okay, maybe not quiet yet, but they sure are cool!
