Christian Fletcher updates Daybreak on EDC activity

Christian Fletcher, fellow Rotarian and Executive Director at Marble Falls Economic Development Corporation updated the Marble Falls Daybreak Rotary on current  EDC projects. The EDC is making progress in the community to make room for new businesses and a growing job market. With plans to clear land in the Business Park, space will become available for new enterprises. Additionally, the EDC has been working with Central Texas College and Texas Tech at Highland Lakes to ensure the colleges will offer programs that allow local students obtain certification for careers in demand at the upcoming Scott & White hospital. Finally, the EDC recently purchased the lake front property at the corner of Avenue H and S. Main in downtown Marble Falls with the goal of advancing the downtown master plan. The master plan combines two of the city’s greatest assets, Lake Marble Falls and Historic Downtown Marble Falls, to create a quaint lake front city full of family fun and outdoor entertainment, while generating jobs and preserving the city’s natural resources.
