Club News
Wow, Debbie Weems has had a variety of career paths in her life!
Her natural curiosity led her to try many different things.
Currently Debbie is Vice President of Product Development and Design for a company that specializes in healthcare. Also she is the COO of Multi-state hospitality company. They have bourbon, a couple of bed and breakfasts, and some Social Houses. In addition, she is managing Director of Highland Advisors and Highland Mediation. And, if that’s not enough, she is a Senior Advisor to a telehealth and provider quality company.
So mostly she has worked in healthcare, with some technology sprinkled in.
What she really likes doing is taking things from an idea to execution. The messiness of accomplishing this doesn't bother her! If you have an idea and you need to have an event, start a company, or you need to resolve a conflict, she and one of her companies can help you!

Larry Conway spoke to us on Tuesday, 3/1/22, about his 35 years of Missionary work in the cities and surrounding rural areas of Nairobi and Kenya. His mission reaches out to and helps homeless children on the streets of these cities by providing counseling, food, clothes, shoes, vocational training opportunities, and in some cases shelter, and bible study.
A native of Odessa Texas, Larry married, a gal from Austria. They began to do missionary work together many years ago.
Larry believes that "What we do in life echoes in eternity."
He follows the words of Psalm 27:10:
For had my father and my mother forsaken me, then had Jehovah taken me up.
Shalonda Crawford of Open Door Recovery House gave us a heartfelt talk about Open Door on Tuesday, February 22. Not only does she now work for Open Door, she is also a successful former resident.  Her testimony about Open Door is in the story content below.
She encouraged us all to support Open Door's upcoming Fundraiser:
Open Door's CommUnity 5K Fun Run/walk starts at 8:00 AM on Saturday, April 30th.
Registration starts at 7:00 AM in the east High School parking lot.
The run is being held on the gently rolling hills and smooth pavement of the Manzano Mile, just east of Marble Falls High School.
Open Door depends entirely upon Community support and Sponsoring or Entering their Family-friendly 5K fundraiser will help tremendously!  As Shalonda said, every little thing you can do to support our women Matters!
