Well we have done it once again - our club has delivered a dictionary to EVERY 3rd grade student in Salem, St. Paul, and United Local School Districts.
As we have done every year for the last 15 years or so, we donated dictionaries to all 3rd Grade Salem, St. Paul, and United Local students in Salem. "This project gives us a chance to help improve the literacy level in our local school system, which is such an important part of the mission of Rotary International," said Carolyn Jones, project chair. "We placed the dictionaries last week and the kids will be able to use them through out their school years. Thanks to all who helped with this project again this year." This year the club provided 275 dictionaries to area children, an investment of nearly $4,300 in our local communities.
