New Rotary Club in Tulum, Mexico
Meeting with Tulum Rotary Club
Salem President Elect Jack Russell and John Conti from the Boardman Rotary Club visited the new Rotary Club of Tulum. They were Tulum's first international visitors from another Rotary International Club. Tulum is located about 100 miles south of Cancun and is famous for its Mayan ruins at Tulum.
Jack and John were in Mexico volunteering their time to help rebuild remote medical clinics that had been damaged by hurricanes. Both have traveled to many foreign countries on behalf of Rotary's commitment to community and international service. Between them they have been to Africa twice, Russia, Finland, Guatemala and Mexico performing volunteer services in conjuction with Rotary members within those countries.
