    6)    New Member Induction:
            
        Jackie Boland (Wilmette Branch Manager at the Private Bank)  membership application has been approved
        and we will be doing the formal induction in March.

    a)    Any ""Random Acts of Kindness"?
            
                    
    b)    Feb. 23rd is Rotary's Birthday - Rotary is 112 years old.            
                    
    c)    Our March 1 evening event will be at Chicago Curling Club from 6 to 7ish, which is located
           at 555 Dundee Road, Northbrook, IL.  For more information see

    d)    We are sponsoring 3 students (2 girls from Regenia and 1 boy from NT)  to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership                  
            
Award (RYLA) on March 9 - 12.
        
    e)    Update from last Saturday's Grant and Membership Training attended by  George Pearce, Tom Ryan and Ben                
            
Ivory.
       
    f)    We are partnering with the Wilmette Public Library for the annual community-wide reading and discussion program "One Book, Everybody Reads".  The 2017 selection is Mischling by Affinity Kona.  The Library will holding events throughout April and the author will at the library on May 7th.  We have been given a book to share with our club.   For more information, please see - http://www.wilmette.lib.il.us/readers/onebook            
                    
    g)    George Pearce is doing a Rotary service project down in Guatemala.  Where he is building a hydroponic green          
            
house with the Barrington Club.  
        
    h)    Soup Kitchen Update - Tom  Ryan - March 6th reminder            
                    
    i)    7th Annual Kids Against Hunger on March 11 for 2 hour shifts (8:30 -10:30; 11 - 1; 2 - 4) at the Winnetka Community House.   There is $25 donation to cover the cost of materials and shipping to Nicaragua.   Pre-registration is required at https://wnrotary-kah-2017.eventbrite.com            
                    
    j)    Go Green Community Fair - March 12 from 12:00 to 4:00, at Michigan Shores Club            
                    
    j)    Rotary's World Peace Conference is being held on March 31st - April 1 in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan.

    k)    Joint Evening Meeting on Wed. April 5th with Winnetka, Northfield, Wilmette Noon – Ed Futa at Winnetka Community House - Ed is the retired General Secretary of Rotary International and I’ve been told is an excellent speaker            
                    
    l)    Please remember to pay your dues as soon as possible. Thank you            
                    
    m)    District Conference is on April 28 - 30th at the Marriotte Lincolnshire Resort.  Susan Fisher and I will presenting out Elmwood Dunes Project on Saturday, April 29 during the "Power of One" Session.  Where we might be able to win up to $1,500 for our Foundation for the most inspiring presentation based upon attendee votes.              
                    
    n)    The Wednesday May 3rd evening event will be at Backyard BBQ's new location (behind Millen's Hardware) from 6 to approximately 7
