             a)    Congratulations to George Pearce for being awarded the "2016 Person of the Year" by the Wilmette Human    
                     Relations Commission for his significant contribution to the Wilmette Community. - I will pass the article around.

             b)     Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Ellen Falkof (we are  sponsoring 3 students), retreat are March 9 - 12 and         
                     April 6 - 9 - applications can be found on our web site

             c)    Chris Cole -Update from our meeting with RefugeeOne on sponsoring a refugee family.    For more information on

             d)    ABC's of Rotary is being offered to New and Old members of Rotary - there is always more to learn about the many        
                    areas of Rotary.  It is being offered on Monday, Jan. 23 from 2 - 7pm at The Rotary Center in Evanston.  Please let
                    Sue know if anyone would like more information.        
                
             e)    Tom Ryan has the schedule for serving at the soup kitchen for the 1st half of 2017: Feb. 6th; March 6th; May 1st;
                     and June 5th.         
                
             f)    Any interesting in getting a group together to see Shen Yun on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 at the Harris Theatre?.  
                    A sign in sheet is being passed around.  If we need at least 10 people to commit. Please email me at

     11)    District Conference is on April 28 - 30th at the Marriotte Lincolnshire Resort.        
                
     12)    Looking for members to serve on the Vocation Scholarship Committee.  Please contact to Chris Simcox to help out on this           
              committee    
   
     13)    For the Wednesday, Feb. 1st evening, we will be meeting tour the Wilmette Policy Station from 6PM to 7PM.          
                
     14)    District Conference is on April 28 - 30th at the Marriotte Lincolnshire Resort.        
                
     15)  John Bowman asks that we please pay our dues as soon as possible.        
                
     16)   George Pearce is slating the Club's board for next year.  If anyone is interested in serving please contact him ASAP.

            a) Joan O'Neill has been feed the homeless under the LSD bridge at Lawrence.  If anyone is interested in helping, please let            
                Joan know.

            b) Jim Bowman recommended the tour of the Lyric Opera House.        
                
            c) Karen Donnen let everyone know about the recent home break-ins in the area.          
                
            d) Norene Chip shared an exciting opportunity to hear travel expert Rick Steves on January 22, 2017 from 5:30 to
