UPCOMING EVENTS: 
 
On August 5, the Club will not have a morning meeting at Sheridan Shores.  Instead, we’ll be attending the Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert at Ravinia.  If you would like to obtain tickets with a donation to the Club Foundation please contact George Pearce:  george.pearce@hklaw.com
 
There will be a White Sox fundraiser on Tuesday August 4 Sox vs Rays, 7:10 pm, U.S. Cellular Field, involving everyone from Rotary Districts 6450, 6440 and 6420.  Carol sent the e-mail with the ticket order form on July 14, if it’s still in your files.  If you can’t attend, please consider donating the special package for a Veteran.
 
The Build a Backpack program is set for Saturday, August 8.

GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS:

Gil Gilson has a new grandson.
 
 
PROGRAM:   
 
Bob Armbruster restores historic concrete on monuments, great architecture and works of art.  His projects include The Biltmore Estate, NC the Parthenon in Nashville, and the Iwo Jima Memorial in Washington, DC.
 
For our program, he recounted is architecture construction and restoration of the Baha’i Temple.  He has designed and managed restoration projects on the Baha’i House of Worship for over 30 years.
