• What is (was) your day job?
Project Experience Promotion Manager, Global Consulting Knowledge Management for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited
•  What is your favorite book? or book genre?
I'm a big fan of factual and fictional histories that help me understand our current social and political environment. For example, one of my most recently reads is "Big Burn" by Timothy Eagan. By chronicling a devastating wildfire in 1910, Big Burn explores the rise of the conservation movement in the U.S.
•  If you were in charge, what would you mandate be the national pastime?
Service to others! Of course, this is not something you can mandate. It has to come from the heart to be meaningful.
•  What are your hobbies?
Bicycling up the Green Bay Trail with multiple and much-needed Starbucks stops; strumming a few chords on the guitar and jamming with friends who actually know how to play; and whenever possible, skiing  with my hubbie and wonderful sons who tease me for my limited skills but share my love for the mountains.
•  What do most people NOT know about me?
That I lived in Africa. (But, all my Rotary friends know that's how I began my Rotary connection.)
•  Who was your sponsor?
The lovely and kind Beth DeWall
•  How do you pitch Rotary?
Rotary is truly think globally, act locally - and impact everyone!
•  What aspect of Rotary makes you passionate to be involved?
I came for the international opportunities and stayed for local connection. Rotarians are such special people, truly committed to giving the best of themselves to serve the greater community. Every individual in our club has such a fascinating background and diverse interests. A weekly breakfast with great people is a wonderful way to start the day.
•  What is your most memorable experience in Rotary?
Meeting with the Rotarians in Kenya and Tanzania as a Rotary International Journalism Scholar. I grew by learning their personal stories, cherishing the commonalities and respecting the differences.
