Our major fundraising event on Wednesday, September 22 will be an outdoor event at the Wallace Bowl in Gillson Park, Wilmette. The focus will be providing support for Our Place, a center for persons with developmental disabilities from the local communities. We plan to have 3 professional local bands perform. The Winnetka/Northfield Rotary Club and the Wilmette Harbor Rotary are assisting us in the planning. Event tickets will be $25 per person. Jim Pockross of the Wilmette Harbor club has generously donated a week's stay in his home in Scottsdale, Arizona. We plan to use this as a vacation package for the raffle, by including airfare and local activities. Additional raffle prizes are being developed. Raffle tickets will be $50 for one or 3 for $100. Our focus at this stage is finding business sponsors and individual donors for the event. A package of information has been developed for emailing to prospective sponsors and donors.
