Learning about New Trier's Seminar Day

New Trier High School Assistant Superintendent for Student Services Timothy Hayes was the speaker at the March 8 meeting of the Club. He discussed the recent Seminar Day on "Understanding Today's Struggle for Racial Civil Rights" held at NTHS on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He described the planning process, which began two years ago when it became clear that the school year would need to be compacted due to construction constraints. The day was well attended and produced thoughtful dialog among the students and staff.
