New Trier Township Services and Programs

Brian Leverenz is currently the Community Services Administrator for New Trier Township, where his duties include overseeing the grant process for 30 plus agencies and 40 plus programs, running the Township Food Pantry, and the Peer Jury Program. 

Brian has extensive experience in the public and non-profit sector. He has worked with Chicago Center for Policy Analysis, performed management and program audits and special studies and investigations with the Illinois Office of the Auditor General, worked on the Illinois House Democratic staff, and served as an aide to several state legislators. He also has experience in state and federal election campaigns. Brian has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Studies and Economics from the University of Illinois at Springfield (formerly known as Sangamon State University), and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, also from Springfield. Hobbies and passions include, fitness, cycling, kayaking and he has completed over 100 triathlons, with numerous top finishes and age group awards. He is also an avid reader and has done some freelance writing.
