Biography of a Creative Life

Joe has been an active member of the club for 30 years. Graphic designer for most of the club's event literature during that time. He is chairman of the Public Image committee,  C0-chair of the Fundraising and Program services committees, as well as a member of the Membership committee. He celebrated his 94th birthday this month by walking 26.5 miles in our Walk-a-Thon.

Joe is a veteran of World War II, having served in the Luzon campaign in the Philippines, and in the army of occupation of Japan.  He attended St. Norbert College, Wisc., Roosevelt College, Chicago, and graduated from the American Academy of Art, Chicago.  An entrepreneur in the Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Design business for over 70 years, he is an active member and student of the BJBE Congregation, Northbrook, and father of four sons, step father of two daughters, and grandfather of three. A widower, Joe is currently a 30 year resident of Glenview, after living in Wilmette for 25 years.  He was born in Memphis, TN. when our president was Calvin Coolidge. Joe has been sharing the last twenty years with Debbie Cooper, his significant other.
