Simone Mirchell-Peterson is a thought leader on isolation and loneliness among the elderly, especially in Chicago. She will speak about the history of Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly and the organization’s work to end loneliness and isolation for almost 60 years. Simone will also share key trends impacting older adults and ways for communities to work together to improve the lives of older adults and, ultimately, grow stronger.

Simone Mitchell-Peterson has 25 years of executive management experience, with skills and experience in project management, facility and property development, strategic planning and fundraising. She joined Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly in 2004, where she leads a team of 36 employees and 1,600 volunteers. Simone has BA degrees in sociology and anthropology from York University, Toronto, Ontario; an MS in general education from Canisius College, and an MBA from State University of New York in Buffalo.
