Club Participates in Observance of Memorial Day with Villages

Several members of our club served with great pride, and honored our club by their participation, in today's Joint Schaumburg - Hoffman Estates Memorial Day Ceremony at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Julie Clark was a very poised and eloquent Master of Ceremony.

Col. Jack Bishop delivered a rousing and heart-felt keynote speech.

Chuck Linkenheld presented the American flag and served as part of the honor guard.

Jim Markgraf tolled the bell at the reading of deceased veterans' names.

John Selke (former member but still in our hearts) served as Committee Chair.

Many club members volunteered their time to usher guests and direct traffic -- Jean Schlinkmann, Glenn Szurgot, Nancy, Redmon, Kathy & Jim Ahlgrim, Gayle Vandenbergh, Terry Parke, Allen Gabe, Jack Lucas -- I hope I haven't forgotten anyone and apologize if I have.
