Club president Brian Bieschke inducted Schaumburg School Dist. 54 Superintendent Andy DuRoss as its newest member at the club’s March 30 meeting. Schaumburg A.M. Rotarian and Golden Corridor Family YMCA President & CEO Dr. Gary Bublitz sponsored DuRoss for membership. 
Dist. 54 operates 21 elementary schools and 5 junior high schools, in addition to an early childhood learning center and one K-8 grade school, serving more than 14,000 students during the 15/16 school year.  The District 54 Early Learning Center (ELC) was recently recognized as one of three early childhood programs in the state of Illinois to receive the Award of Excellence for the Inclusion of Children with Special Needs.  The ELC serves more than 700 at-risk and special needs children in 25 classrooms.
