Club members participated in the 2nd annual December Feed My Starving Children’s (FMSC) Hope Filled Holiday hand-packed meal packing event that took place from December 8 – 10 at the Schaumburg Convention Center’s Adventure Hall, with a goal of packing 1 million plus meals to benefit starving, malnourished and hungry people, including children.
Schaumburg A.M. Rotary joined a large group of community businesses and organizations in supporting the Schaumburg Police Department's December 10th "Shop with a Cop" holiday event that benefited 26 local children with financial or social needs.
The children were selected with the assistance of the village's officers, Social Services and area school social workers.

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary is seeking outstanding local high school students to participate in one of two Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) retreats (3 nights / 4 days) scheduled for either March 8 - 11 or April 12 - 15, 2018 at Edwards Camp & Conference Center in East Troy, Wisconsin, located near Alpine Valley.
The purpose of RYLA is to recognize young people who have demonstrated leadership skills or show potential to be leaders and provide them with an opportunity to explore and further develop these skills with others with similar capabilities. Student feedback on this experience is that it is always outstanding.  Take a look at the video below to learn more about the RYLA retreat experience.
New winter coat distribution is the best community service project ever! With the help of matching funds from a Rotary Dist 6440 Simplified Grant our club donated more than 100 new coats - sourced through Operation Warm - to kids from high risk environments who attend the Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child + Family Center, which is a Children's Home + Aid facility.
Providing new coats to kids in need helps improve self confidence, peer acceptance, school attendance and overall wellness in a way that a second hand coat cannot.  Click here to see more photos.
