Sell your ticket tips!

Selling Game Night tickets across platforms – is easy with Tim’s ideas!

An easy, passive way to sell raffle tickets for our upcoming Rock 'n' Rotary Game Night is to share our online sales link alongside a few words about how Rotary uses the proceeds to do good right here in Northbrook.

This can be done over email, by text message, or via a post to one of the popular social/networking applications like Facebook, LinkedIN, YouTube, BlueSky etc..  The best part: Once you send or post your message, your work is done!

This email includes quick, step-by-step instructions and even some suggested language - but feel free to create your own message
EMAIL MADE EASY:
Remember, winners don't have to be present at our event.  Try including friends and family from out of town!

In an email, the most important thing is to provide this link, where people can read about the event and buy tickets:  https://go.rallyup.com/rocknrotary/Campaign/Details  NOTE: [Consider using your direct link so you get credit for the sale]

Here is an example EMAIL- feel free to simply copy and paste this into a blank email message:
The Rotary Club of Northbrook is holding a fundraiser!  Our Rock 'n' Rotary Game Night will take place on April 24th at the North Suburban Y (2705 Techny Road in Northbrook) from 7-9 p.m.  Tickets are $50 each, with all proceeds going either towards local and international causes like food insecurity, mental health, and helping those with special needs, or towards providing scholarships for local students.  Your ticket is good for entry in our $1,500 raffle and includes admission for two hours of games with prizes, snacks and soft drinks.  On event night, guests that do not wish to take part in the $1,500 raffle can purchase entry to the Rock 'n' Rotary fun for a $15 admission fee.

Raffle tickets may be purchased at the link below. The raffle winner does not need to be present. This is a great chance to have fun and assist a worthy cause!

TEXTING FOR SUCCESS
Text Message: This has been by far the most effective method in my experience. Nowadays, it's just so simple to follow links and buy things from your phone.  Plus, you can send one message to many recipients at once very easily or even ask your spouse to ask their friends and colleagues for support.

Here's just one example - remember, no need to cover every little detail in a text because all of the specifics are provided when your recipients click the link:

Hi! Did you know that I'm a member of

Rock 'n' Rotary Game Night! In addition
to lots of games, prizes and snacks, we
are holding a raffle for $1,500! (You
don't need to be present to win!)

know if you have any questions or just
click this link to register:

Facebook: Facebook has a very wide reach,
and that reach only grows as people "like" and share your post.

1. Open Facebook
2. At the top of the page, you should see “What's on your mind”. Click that space and begin typing your message.
3. Copy this link and paste it after your message - an image promoting Rock 'n' Rotary should appear.

https://go.rallyup.com/rocknrotary/Campaign/Details    [NOTE: Consider using your direct link so you get credit for the sale]

4. Click the word "Post" and you are done!

Good luck! Don’t forget to use your “custom link” in Rally Up -and let us know if you need help with that!

LinkedIn:
For those of you with a LinkedIn account for work, it's extremely easy to create a post:
1. From your profile page (you may have to click on your profile picture once or twice to get there), just click on Create Post.
2. Then, you just need to paste the Raffle link into the blank section: https://go.rallyup.com/rocknrotary/Campaign/Details [use custom link]
3. You'll see a little "thumbnail" image pop up instantly.
4. Add a little message above the link, or just use the same wording from the email example above.

It should look something like this: https://go.rallyup.com/rocknrotary/Campaign/Details [NOTE: Consider using your direct link so you get credit for the sale]

Feel free to use a screenshot of the Rotary Game night graphic to attract attention! Pull it off our website home page.

 Will you help?
Join us in hosting the World's Largest Polio Walk on October 24, 2026!

Rotarians from Zones 25b & 29 will be participating in the World's Largest Polio Walk by joining forces to walk together at 10 a.m. CDT for an end to polio.
How to prepare! Get a team together to fundraise.
Here is some inspiration from our fellow Rotarians:  https://youtu.be/bPXU4YythnM

Hosted by District 6440, the walk is planned to take place throughout the Midwest.  Guess how many states how many clubs are participating?
World’s Largest Polio Walk scheduled for October 24, 2026, the current participation plans are centered around a large-scale collaboration across the central United States:
Scope of Participation
  • Target Districts: The primary push is coming from Rotary Zones 25B and 29, which collectively represent a massive footprint across the Midwest and Central United States.
  • Geographic Reach: The event is designed to span multiple states, with organizers from District 6440 (Illinois) coordinating with clubs throughout the central U.S. to ensure a unified start time of 10:00 a.m. CDT.
  • While a final "club count" for 2026 is still growing, the zones involved typically represent hundreds of clubs.
Growth and Planning
Organizers are currently holding monthly planning sessions to recruit more districts and clubs to break the standing world record.
The goal is to have every club within these two massive zones (which cover areas like Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Minnesota) activate their members for this single, synchronized walk.
