Dear Friend:
I am a member of the Northbrook Rotary Club. I enjoy participating in community service projects and raising money for our club charitable foundation. Rotary's motto is "service above self".
We will be running our annual Rotary Rubber Duck Race on September 15, at 3 PM in The Village Green Park, Northbrook. All proceeds from duck ticket sales go to support nonprofit organizations that benefit from grants and scholarships both locally and internationally.
Please consider purchasing duck tickets. You do not need to be present to win one of three monetary prizes. You can click on the link below to purchase tickets.
Our Fall is chock-full of wonderful service opportunities! So much to feel good about! Fun things to do for all - some sitting things, standing things and moving around things…
Please read through the end!
First, I’d like to congratulate us on a turn out of 10 people at Feed My Starving Children in July! I received a note from FMSC that the 8,856 meals that we packed that night have been shipped out to feed more that 24 kids for a whole year in Mozambique!! We did good!
Next, we had 19 amazing volunteers help make 50 sandwiches and pack lunches for Connections for the Homeless on August 8th! It was such fun and fed 50 people that needed it! AMAZING WORK!!
Now, on to the next opportunities!! Buckle up… here we go!
Trunk or Treat at the NSYMCA in Northbrook! Such fun passing out candy and hosting a game of bozo buckets for our community! Join us - and let me know if you would like to be part of the vehicle decorating process! Jodi - 847-207-2007 or jojo3735@comcast.net

NEW! We will have a “private” packing session to make mental health coping kits for kids at GBS high school on September 12th at the Northbrook United Methodist Church located at 1190 Western Ave. in Northbrook from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
CATCH has asked that we provide 20-25 volunteers. This event will include opportunities for those that would like to stay seated while doing good!
CATCH mission is to empower families to foster resilience and prioritize mental health and emotional wellness in their children through educational programming, access to resources, and peer support.
After the service project, we will head over to Acorn Grill for a quick Satellite meeting, including the installation of a new member, and dinner/camaraderie!
Dinner needs to be pre-ordered - please reach out to me or Pete Samuelson with your order.
