Rotary/One President Nancy Kalchbrenner is hosting a unique bus‑and‑walking tour across Chicago, honoring the city’s memorials, flags, and Rotary history.
We’ll visit Mount Hope Cemetery, stop at the Paul Harris Home, and pass the new Obama Center on our way back to iconic Rotary sites downtown.
Afterward, stick around for a celebratory lunch recognizing our CPS Grant Recipients.
Sending words of appreciation and kudos to you, the members of The Rotary Club of Northbrook. Our friends, Roxy, Gayle and Shiva were overwhelmed by the generosity of both purchased groceries and cash donations two weeks ago.
I am confident that we will be equally generous this coming month. The Northfield Food Pantry is requesting the following most needed for June:
What if you could experience Rotary where it all began?

District 5110 Rotarians are invited to join District Governor Chris Waugh for a memorable and inspiring journey to Evanston and Chicago, June 22–26, 2026.
This unique Rotary experience will include: • Touring Rotary International Headquarters in Evanston • Visiting the Arch Klumph Society and RI administration floor • Meeting with Rotary International staff on membership, public image, fundraising, and Rotary learning opportunities • Attending a meeting of Rotary One — the original Rotary Club founded by Paul Harris • Visiting Paul Harris’s home and gravesite • Enjoying fellowship with fellow District 5110 Rotarians throughout the week • Taking an unforgettable Chicago Architecture Center River Cruise through downtown Chicago
The Hilton Garden Inn Chicago North Shore/Evanston has offered us a special rate, and it’s just blocks from Rotary Headquarters and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. District 5110 will provide an executive van with chauffeur transportation between Evanston and Chicago for our scheduled activities.
This trip combines Rotary history, leadership, fellowship, inspiration, and FUN — all in one incredible experience.
Participants are responsible for their own airfare, lodging, meals, and airport transportation. District 5110 will cover RI meeting space and group transportation during scheduled activities.
Space is limited, so if you are interested in joining us, please contact District Governor Chris Waugh soon for additional details and planning information.
