Highlighted Project: Duck Volunteers
Many hands make light work!
Our biggest annual fundraiser, the Rubber Ducky Race at Shermerfest, is fast approaching. We have many generous volunteers lined up, but need your help to make this a complete success.
On Sunday, September 27th, the team is still looking for the following:
10:00-11:00: Join Dave Masters and Tim Schotke to set up tables and tents for our three exhibition and ticket sales areas
2:00 - 3:45: Join Rick Rivkin at our RILEE tent to share information about Rotary and our fight to End Polio Now!
3:45 - 4:30: Help Tim and Gary Moriello in breaking down and packing up the tables, tents and displays
On the following Tuesday, September 29th:
We need 2-3 volunteers to pick up and relocate the RILEE polio exhibit. Speak to Denis Pollina, Ron Bernardi or Frank Karkazis to learn what's involved.
On Wednesday, September 30th:
9:00 - 11:00: We have a few volunteers to sort, count and box up the ducks for hibernation - but we'd love to have 3-5 more helpers. This takes place at the Park District building (545 Academy Drive, Northbrook).
CLICK BELOW TO SIGN UP, or speak with Beverly or those mentioned above at our lunch meeting this Tuesday. Thank you!
Packing care kits for Cancer Wellness Center patients
Last Tuesday evening, we enjoyed great food, fabulous golf course views, and good company while serving those who are fighting cancer. Acorn Grill gives us a beautiful space to get our work done. If you've never attended, or if you have a friend who'd like to check us out after work, these Tuesday evening meetings are a must see.
