Rubber Ducky Race a Huge Success!
You are sure to hear more in the coming days, but for those who couldn't join us - what a day!
We had perfect weather and a really huge turnout. Shermerfest itself was very well-attended by people of all ages. We had one table for the little ones with temporary tattoos, crayons and coloring sheets. Our next table offered Rotary info for our neighbors, plus additional giveaway items. Last, we had the RILEE display to educate folks about Rotary's work to eradicate polio.
Compared to previous years, we had a little more freedom to sell ducky entries. We really made the most of it! People lined up right until the deadline to get a duck in the race. While many played a part, Alisa, Beverly and Jodi did an excellent job this afternoon topping off our coffers.
We'll see in the next few weeks whether we've attracted any new interest. For now, please enjoy a few pictures.
