THIS WEEK - Tuesday we'll volunteer, starting at 4 pm at Bernie's Book Bank, 917 N Shore Dr in Lake Bluff. We'll have our monthly Rotary Social right afterwards at Silo's 625 Rockland Road, Lake Bluff.
We will be seated on the second floor, you'll remember we met there in the past years for lunch. It will be really great for fun and fellowship to have our own room.
Gary is in charge of the Volunteer Service at Bernie's Book Bank.
I understand he is quite happy with the signup. If you have any questions about that, please contact him directly.
For my part: I do hope we'll have a good turnout for our dinner (Pizza) which should start around 5:30 pm.
It's a perfect opportunity for our fellow Rotarians who have sometimes difficulties to join us at our regular Rotary noon lunches.
Please let me know if I can count on you to help us to have an evening of camaraderie.
Hear about our Global Grant project to create a Women's cooperative in a small village in Morocco.
It will cover: The GG area of focus, the location, the partners involved in the project, the project's goals and objectives, the project's components of equipment and training, the project's timeline, the project's budget and funding, and the project's sustainability.
Moha Bouacha [in photo at left] and Rich Lalley as co-presidents of the Winnetka-Northfield Rotary Club will speak.
Moha has been in Rotary for 12 years and is retired from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where he managed their Executive Education Center for 30 years.
His area of expertise is international management and marketing.
The topic of the presentation will be creating a revenue and employment generating women's clothing cooperative in the Moroccan Village of Timoulilt through a $100,000.00 global grant with The Rotary Foundation.
