Service Above Self

Governor’s Month of Service Challenge - Update from our Club!

Governor Kevin Stevens laid out a challenge recently asking Rotarians to gear up for the Governor’s Month of Service Challenge beginning April 1st. He said, “No need for grand schemes, small projects will complement your larger undertakings.  The primary objective is for your club to enhance your culture of service in your community, while leveraging that engagement to membership growth.  It’s that simple!”

So far our club has hit the ground running, starting with Bev Moriello’s Ukraine Humanitarian project that resulted in yellow and blue bows across the Village (have you found your name yet?) to show love and support AND collect funds that are going directly to Ukraine.

Then President Ron Knight authorized a wire transfer of $4500 to the Rotary Club of Mühlacker-Enzkreis in Germany when Rick Rivkin received a request for help.

A “Multiple Club” Warm Shoes Project had 504 pairs of shoes shipped to Rick’s Saf-T-Gard warehouse, where volunteers packed and delivered the shoes this past Saturday. We will be packing food with Feed6; having a day of service at Bernie’s Book Bank and sharing the Rotary message at the Chamber’s upcoming golf outing.

Service Above Self!!
