Sandy & Carlos visit the Rotary Club Sanremo

Sandy & Carlos visit the Rotary Club Sanremo (Italy)

Founded in 1932 with a solemn official inauguration ceremony, held at the Royal Hotel San Remo on Sunday 10 January 1932 in the presence of government and Rotarian authorities including the Minister of Economy, Giuseppe Belluzzo, also governor in office of the then 46th Rotarian District ( which currently has the name of District 2032) was chaired by Count Paolo Ruggeri Laderchi, (Our Sandy Frum’s grandfather) who in turn became District Governor in the 1937-38 Rotary year.  The Rotary Club Sanremo has expressed three District Governors: in addition to Paolo Ruggeri Laderchi, Bernardo Fenolio (ar 1966-67) and Fiorenzo Squarciafichi (ar1998-99) have been invested with the important office.

RCSanremo has trained numerous Rotarian leaders at both club and district level, effectively contributing to the development of Rotary International in its territory.

In 1950 a group of Rotarians enrolled in the RCSanremo gave life to the RCImperia and in 1985 another “gem” of the RCSanremo formed the RCSanremo Hanbury.

RC Sanremo has also distinguished itself beyond its own borders, giving life to an international service activity, which took place in 1979 in the setting up of a surgical block in Bonoua in the Ivory Coast at the Don Orione center. tireless commitment of prof. Giovanni Arpesella, a shining example of the profession as a service, exactly what RI expects from its Members.

This and other professions are represented, together with entrepreneurial activities, by the exponents of RC Sanremo, all united by the cult of friendship cemented by the spirit of service since "Friendship is the feeling that rises to the heart when we do beautiful and difficult things together."

  • You will be billed for those meals at the end of each quarter.
  • Also, quarterly club dues will increase to $125.00 to cover the loss in revenue from the change in billing for meals.
  • Your dues are needed to operate and pay for all club expenses.
