Illuminate Northbrook + Rotary Club Hot Cocoa Stroll
The Village of Northbrook is pleased to present this brand-new community event! Gather in the heart of Northbrook on Friday, November 19, at 5:30pm to kick off the holiday shopping season with complimentary hot chocolate provided by the Rotary Club of Northbrook.
At 6pm, count down with us as we turn on the holiday lights and illuminate downtown Northbrook at the corner of Meadow Road and Shermer Road. Afterwards, stroll the downtown, enjoy the ambience, and support local businesses by shopping and dining. Get more details here.
Our club participated as Feed6 revived their annual HungerHeroes meal packing event 2021.
We sponsored a “team-table” to help pack 125,000 meals. This crucial need for food provided meals for hungry and food insecure veterans-as well as local children, families, and seniors. The event took place last Saturday, November 13th at the All State Arena Campus in Rosemont Il.
According to my sources, our club had, “Five Rotarians from Northbrook, one spouse, and three grandchildren who packed 3672 meals in less than two hours and then had a great camaraderie lunch!”
Thank you, Rotarians, for participating AND for including future Rotarians!
David Burke the Judge Coordinator for Illinois DECA and North Suburban DECA is in need of people to serve as Regional and or State DECA competition.
Regional Competition which takes place in Rosemont, IL on Friday Feb 4th from 7:30 AM to Noon.
State competition which takes place in Rosemont, IL on Friday March 4th from 7:30 AM to 4PM.
Parking, continental breakfast and lunch are all provided for you (no lunch for the Regional Competition).
You would be helping students from over 40 Illinois high schools develop, pursue and deliver on their interest in a wide variety of Business areas. Without the Event Judges, unfortunately, we are not able to run the competition (cue tearful music).
Would love it if you can serve as an Event Judge. Just CLICK HERE to officially fill out the short Google Form. The full link to the form is below (if that helps).
