Over the 8 weeks of Get Healthy Northbrook Alan lost 13 pounds.  He successfully worked with his medical doctor to stop taking Crestor, worked with a personal trainer, and eat according to a Palo Diet.  He is feeling great, looking great and excited to continue to work with his doctor, trainer, and health team to get to a point where he no longer needs to take Metformin.

Below you will also find some of the other amazing stories and changes that have occurred as a part of Get Healthy Northbrook.

“I have always known the right foods to eat and how much exercise is an important factor-but I always had an excuse.  Seeing my stats measured and in print- I was shocked.  It was the motivation I needed to do something about my health and well being.”  M. Zilka

“GHN has given me the opportunity to not only focus on my healthy, but what my presence brings to my family and my community.  I have met inspiring Northbrook residents and leaders that have encouraged me every step of the way.  I am grateful for their support in helping me become a more healthy, vibrant gift to the world.  My heartfelt thanks.” S Masri

“The hardest for me has been quitting smoking.  I was able to work down to 2 cigarettes a day and have been stuck there for about a month.   I’m OK with this for right now.  Some days I only have one, some days two.  I haven’t forgotten the goal but I don’t beat myself up over those 2 cigarettes anymore.” L Wood.
