Kathleen Blahunka - Shields Township Assessor

Shields Township Assessor Kathleen Blahunka visited with us today and shed some light on property taxes, in terms you can understand!!

The goal of her presentation is educational for the community. Kathy explained why property is assessed for value and how the value aligns to local taxes. She also gave an overview of some of the changes that have been occurring with values over the past few years.

Club President Percy Johnson presents a book to Shields Township Assessor Kathleen Blahunka that will be donated in her honor to the North Chicago Public Library. Thanks for visiting with us today Kathy!
